Right around the corner from Crystal Point High Rise is a new infill loft project under construction called MEZZO.  MEZZO is another Will Bruder designed community that so far looks pretty cool.  It’s ten, three story condominiums, with 1525 square feet, 2 bedrooms, a den, 2.5 bathrooms, and a 2 car garage each inside a gated community.  The developer is quoting starting prices of $425,000 and $445,000 depending on whether you get one with a private yard or not.  At less than $300 per square foot the price is at least palatable and certainly much less expensive than the nearby Artisan Lofts on Osborn.

Interior amenities include wall to wall picture windows, natural wood or stone floors, stainless appliances, European cabinets (cherry), and private terraces.  The ground floor houses the garage and den.  The second floor holds the kitchen, half bath, dining and living area which opens to a terrace.  The top floors hold the two bedrooms and two private bathrooms.  As with all Bruder designed lofts you get an edgy structure and in this case exposed masonry walls.  Instead of a pool the developer will build a “community garden” and BBQ area.  Supposedly home owners will have the right to grow veggies etc in the garden.  We don’t know how that whole sharing thing will work, after all I’d hate to work hard to grow tomatoes only to find my neighbor beat me to them, but we like the concept.  HOA fees are reported to be $140 per month which is very realistic given the fact that there is no pool.
